This week’s I Heart Faces theme is Slice Of Life. When I read what it was, I immediately thought of this picture.

We were on at a shopping strip while on a mini vacation. It was a great day. The kids ate ice cream, chocolate covered bananas, cookies, got tons of new stuff from us and grandpa. I look over at my son and he’s dancing right on the sidewalk and he said to me, “I just can’t help it. I’m so happy mom!” I will never EVER forget that moment.

Head on over to I Heart Faces and check out the rest of the amazing entries.

Today has been an interesting day. My baby is 27 months old. I’m trying to teach her how to use the potty. She’s excited, I’m DEFINITELY excited. She’s doing so well. She’s had a few accidents here and there, but over all she’s doing really good.

I wanted to have a photo session with her today since it’s the first day she’s wearing “Big Gowl Panties.”

Before I start with her shoot, I get my son ready for naptime. So while I do that, I hand Juliette her potty book, sit her on the bed and tell her to wait quietly until I come back while I put her brother in bed.

I take my son to bed, walk back to my room and see this.

*SIGH*

Then one click of the shutter and the moment is gone. She turns back to look at me and I hear, “What you doing mama? You so siwwy. Take peeshers now?”

So I didn’t interrupt her. I just let her read and I shot. Sometimes, the unplanned pictures are the best.

This week’s challenge over on I Heart Faces is Anything But A Face. When I read the challenge, I immediately thought of this picture. It’s one of my favorites of my little one. Whenever she’s lacking clothes, she’s always poking at her outie and I adore it!

My 5 year old had Rodeo Day at school today. She was required to wear western gear to school. I was very unsure of the cowboy boots and hat, but she ROCKED it and looked amazing. Don’t you agree?

Isn’t she adorable? LOL She posed herself and was twirling an invisible “cowboy rope”.

Love this

Super love this.

This one makes my heart sing.

So they always say it, it never happens. Snow in San Antonio. Well last night, it snowed. Not much at all. I’d say we got about an inch at my place, but considering we don’t see snow here and we haven’t since 1985, it was fun to see and take the kids out and play in the little bit that there was since they probably won’t have this chance again any time soon.

The baby wasn’t very thrilled with the cold. We’ve been stuck indoors all week due to outrageous temps for San Antonio, so when we walked out this morning, she was SHOCKED. She kept saying, “OW Mommy! OW OW OW!!”.

This is unedited so don’t judge. :P This pretty much sums up her thoughts on the subject of snow. LOL

My son is just adorable. How could you not fall in love with this face?

Genesis was THRILLED. She couldn’t get over it.

She finally came around. Love these next two. Especially the second.

And my three babies plus my big baby. Now I didn’t notice this until it was pointed out to me (Thanks Jess) but notice how my son and my husband are standing EXACTLY the same. Isn’t that the best thing ever?

I wish I could have gotten more snow pictures, but seeing as how we’re in Texas, it’s all gone and melted now. :(

I’m sure you all have read this before, but my brother Sonny is serving our country right now in Afghanistan. Every month or so, I have a small session with my niece and sister in law so that I can send him some pictures of his girls. Ally came over on Friday and wasn’t in a mood to take pictures. She kept running away from me. At one point, she looked up behind my stand and saw a picture of my brother that I have sitting there. She asked for it and would not put it down. She kept staring at it saying, “Hi Daddy”, kissing and hugging it.

I caught this picture and I’m just in love with it.

At one point, she even grabbed the picture frame and set it on the floor and posed with my brother. Cutest.Thing.Ever. (Horrible snap since she didn’t give me a chance to adjust settings or focus properly, lol,  but definitely worth sharing)

Her and her beautiful mama.

And my brother hasn’t been around to see my sister in law’s growing belly. So he asked me to take a few shots of her. She only only me one however, lol. Can you believe this is a 28 week belly?

On Saturday, I had the great honor to be there to photograph one of the most important events in a child’s life. Their baptism. I’ve been photographing this beautiful girl since she was in the belly of her mama. I was thrilled when I was asked to be there to photograph her baptism.

I am so honored to be a part of this amazing organization called Operation: Love Reunited. I was contacted by Amy a while ago for her husband’s return. I was thrilled when I got that email that we had a date and it was the day after Christmas. What an amazing Christmas present!

So off we went to the airport and waited for him to return.

About 6 months ago, I photographed THIS little beauty. She was only 6 days old at the time, now she’s a whopping 6 months old, sitting and crawling. But still as beautiful as ever (Baby on right). I got a call from her father wanting to do a photoshoot for his mother for Christmas along with his niece. What’s better than photographing 2 beautiful babies?! Look at these two!!
